In my whole 25 years of life I have always known one thing-I love to decorate and organize.  Although it never occurred to me to make a career out of it.  I mean who actually does what they love, right?  After high school it was assumed I would go to college for business.  I did.  And I hated it.  I begged my mom to push me down the stairs so I’d have an excuse for not returning the second semester but my mother being more reasonable than I ever will be opted to give me options.  I could finish the year and change my major for the fall or start my second semester elsewhere immediately.  Long story short I was withdrawn from NIU, enrolled at ILIS, signed up for classes and moved home in three days.  Talk about time management!  Within the first quarter at the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg I knew I had made one of the best decisions of my life.  Just so we’re clear I make awesome decisions all the time this one just so happened to be one that lasted three years.  In December of 2010 I walked down that aisle and received that degree I had worked so hard for and at one point thought I’d never earn.  I am not exactly one to take to routine much less enjoy school.  Shortly thereafter, I found myself biting my nails (and I don’t bite my nails) before an interview at this fascinating place called Exceed Flooring. And I worked happily ever after!

  1. Okay, I can see your picture so I know you are the right one. I sent an email to one of your other listings. This is Steve from Portsmouth. After your mom got married everyone changed their phone numbers and email addresses. I didn’t know if she changed her name. How is everyone doing? I moved to New York about 4 years ago and recently bought a town house. Here is my home phone number 914-528-2467. Have your mom call me.

    Love
    Steve
